Biz In LA was filed with the State of California on December 3, 2023, just in time for our first client who came onboard on January 1, 2024.

30 years after Erik A.H. Steigen left his native city of Bergen, Norway for studies in Boston, Massachusetts, and 27 years after Erik started his first job in Los Angeles, Erik wanted to help international companies and entrepreneurs with a need for boots on the ground and a local presence in Southern California.

In 2018, Erik started a non-profit membership-driven business organization that grew to over 100 paying members in its first year. Five years later, after being approached by several international businesses and organizations about the need for a consultant in Los Angeles, Erik decided to launch Biz In LA as a professional consultancy.
